And So We Wait

This little guy is waiting around for me to finish something new so I can post about it. He's a pencil drawing I did many years ago when I first started feeling inspired to be "artsy" again. My husband wanted to encourage my creativity and bought me some drawing supplies, and this is one of the first things I did. I modeled him after a wooden sculptural piece in my house. (Poor quality scan, I know, but it's what I've got on hand at the moment.)

As an update, I'm maybe halfway through another larger scale embroidery project and hoping to finish it up early this week so I can move on. I will simply say to you that I may not do satin stitch ever, ever again once this is finished. Ha.

After that I have two more ambitious pieces to complete and then I think I can move on to simpler things. Ah. That sounds lovely.

P.S. Thank you so much to all of you who commented so kindly on my Frank Lloyd Wright project, both here and at Craftster, as well as on the few websites that featured the piece. It was insanely flattering and has encouraged me to keep experimenting with this new craft!

I think anything would be simpler after FLW!! Hmmm - I used to enjoy figure drawing once :-) ... Ah well ....
