Looking Back, Looking Ahead

This Christmas, as friends and family were opening the gifts that I had put so much time into making for them, people kept commenting, "You really did a lot this Christmas!" or asking, "When did you find time to do all of this?" Let's just say that, starting in early November and going straight through to Christmas, I spent a lot of stolen evening hours at home with my projects, and there were quite a few late nights thrown in for good measure. It didn't really seem like that much at the time, and looking at it all laid out in a mosaic makes it seem minimal, but whew!

I haven't found time to return to crafting yet, but I'm already getting the itch. When the new little one gets into more of a routine with his sleeping habits and actually has a bedtime to speak of, I will get some "me time" back. Until then, looking lovingly at my newly acquired crafting goodies (yay for Japanese craft magazines!) will have to keep me satisfied. (Not pictured: Awesome sewing machine cover made by MIL. Detailed notes on my Flickr page.)

P.S. Coming soon: Design and other changes for the new year!

Really impressive amount of work - it looks great in mosaic format. I know what you mean by 'the itch' - waiting for my kids going back to school!

If you haven't tried the snap frame before you will love it!!

Miss Paula, I have used a larger size Q-snap and honestly didn't like it that much, but I'm not sure yet if it was other factors or the frame itself. The fabric didn't stay tight in the frame at all, but maybe it was the fabric I was using or the fact that it was a larger frame. I think I will like the smaller frames better. Time will tell. :)
